The girls varsity basketball team played their first home game on Nov. 30 against the Bartram Trail Bears.

The starters of the game were senior Maddie Millar, junior Sophia Rueppell, and sophomores Sydney Roundtree, Riley Talbert, and Clare Coyle. They had strong defensive play, and by the first timeout, Kenny was up 7-0. After multiple breakaways and easy layups, the Crusaders were up 14-2 by the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, the Crusaders moved the ball around quick. Freshman Abby Baker scored numerous layups to extend the scoring gap. By the end of the second quarter, Kenny was winning 27-4.

To start off the third quarter, the starting 5 were put in. Although the Bears found the hoop more easily this quarter, the Crusaders fought back and put up their own points. At the end of the third quarter, the BK girls were up 46-20.

While quarter four was not point heavy, new players were put in. The final was 53-26 Kenny.

The Crusaders were led by Coyle with 13 points, and Baker closely followed with 9.

The girls are back in action Dec. 2 at Raines.
