The Step Team was a part of both a showcase and a competition these past two weekends, and they did excellent.
The first one being the Aloha Showcase that was held on Jan. 20 at Mandarin High School, and the second one being The Stompdown National Step Show on Jan. 27 that was held at the UNF Lazzara Performance Hall.
A portion of the Aloha Showcase proceeds went to benefiting the Alpha Phi Alpha Educational Foundation and Educational Scholarships.
At the Stompdown National Step Show, it was the step team’s very first competition, they were able to place first in the High School Co-ed Division. This national step show was also a sold-out event seating more than 1,200 people.
