Crusader boys soccer ties against Bartram Trail

Cate Dudley, Editor-in-Chief

Heading into Thanksgiving weekend, the Bishop Kenny varsity boys soccer team faced the Bartram Trail Bears on Tuesday night. The non-conference home game ended in a draw 0-0.

“It was definitely a tough game out there against a very good opponent,” junior midfielder Patrick Russell said.

“We definitely weren’t at our best but we had some good chances. We don’t tie that game without Jake Moran. He played great at goalkeeper and made so many saves,” Russell said.

With a strong defense on both sides, there was not much room to make any daring plays for either team. There were many scoring attempts by Bartram players, but all were deflected by senior goalkeeper Jake Moran.

The Crusaders record for the season now stands at 2 wins, 2 losses and a tie.

Next week, come support the BK boys varsity soccer team as they play the Oakleaf Knights at home on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 7:15pm.
