Entertainment Survives COVID

New shows and movies that are finally being released after months of waiting

Addison Mark, Public Relations Manager

Who doesn’t love to binge watch movies and TV shows? I know we all did this during quarantine a couple of months ago (and may be still doing this). But we did that a little too much, and we ran out of shows to watch and are stuck with scrolling through TikTok 24\7. Because of COVID, there are many productions that were prevented from filming anything new for us. This pushed their release dates back a while, and a few of them are now finally being released, or have started to film safely amid COVID.

Instead of being released to the theatre right away, they are being sent to out homes to rent for less than what it costs to see the film at the theatre. And now we don’t have to smuggle in food, we have everything we want at our disposal.

Some shows that have either been suspended or have recently started filming include Euphoria, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Fear the Walking Dead, The Good Doctor, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Loki, Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, WandaVision, Friends (reunion special), and The Witcher.

Some movies that have either recently started filming or have been suspended include The Batman, John Wick 4, Doctor Strange in the Multiverses of Madness, Soul, Mission Impossible 7 and 8, Jungle Cruise, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Wonder Woman 1984, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Elvis, Black Widow, Avatar 2 and 3, Fantastic Beasts 3, The Little Mermaid, Jurassic World: Dominion, Fast & Furious 9, A Quiet Place 2, and Top Gun: Maverick.

So, now that COVID is on its second surge, (or maybe third, I honestly can’t keep up anymore) do not fear, you will have some entertainment options coming soon to a… living room near you.
