Dr. Missy Parkison returns to Kenny as a religion teacher this year.
Parkison recently took a sabbatical to Europe, living in six different countries over the course of six months. She came back to campus to work as a substitute teacher after her travels.
“I just knew I wanted to get back in that space,” Parkison said.
Parkison is teaching Religion 4, serving as a spiritual accompaniment for students and helping with faculty catechetical development in Campus Ministry. Parkison also helps with the RISE retreat for seniors’ spiritual development.
Parkison says her favorite part about teaching is getting to know her students. Parkison says she enjoys outside activities and spending with her husband, two kids and her dog Zuri.
