Thompson teaches AP Psychology, Psychology and United States History.
Shelby Thompson is in her ninth year of teaching. She started her teaching career at St. John’s Technical High School in St. Augustine, Fla., but in 2016 moved to teach at Bishop Kenny.
In 2018, Thompson moved back home to Louisiana. She taught at Fontainebleau High School for five years before moving back to Jacksonville and returning to Bishop Kenny.
“I didn’t want to leave Bishop Kenny,” Thompson said. “I always knew that I wanted to come back. I didn’t think it was going to be five years, but I am very happy to be back now.”
Thompson teaches AP Psychology, Psychology and United States History. She is sponsor of the History Club and Junior Class.
