Junior Ansley Gibson was crowned Miss BK 2020-2021 at the Miss Bishop Kenny High School Pageant on Wednesday, Mar. 9.

Juniors Sarah Roberts and Elizabeth Coyle were crowned First Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up, respectively.

Contestants were judged based on their interviews, which happened off-stage, talent act, casual wear walk, formal wear walk and on-stage speech. This year’s question for the on-stage speech was, “How has your high school experience shaped who you are?”

For their talent portions, Elizabeth Coyle sang the song “She Used to be Mine” from Waitress, Ansley Gibson played “The Moonlight Session” on the piano and Sarah Roberts performed a lyrical dance to the song “Everywhere Is You.”

Special entertainment was provided by Miss BK 2019-2020, senior Mary Elizabeth Shoemaker, 2019-2020 Winner of Most Sales, senior Grace McCormick and Douglas Anderson freshman Abigail Douglas.

During the Presentation of the Awards, the awards went to the following:

Miss Photogenic and Most Sales Award went to Elizabeth Coyle. Scholastic Award and Service Award went to Ansley Gibson. Miss Congeniality, Most Talented and Top Interview went to Sarah Roberts.
