The Diocese of St Augustine hosted the annual Eucharistic Congress on Mar 30 in the Prime Osborn III Convention Center.

The Eucharistic Congress is an event held for all ages to learn more about the Eucharistic through adoration, confession, mass, and guest speakers. Many guest speakers were bishops and priests from around the world; including Most Rev. Terrence Prendergast, SJ the archbishop of Ottawa.

“The Eucharistic Congress was a beautiful celebration and I learned more about the Eucharist to strengthen my faith.” Junior Sydney Iberia said.

During the Congress, the Sacrament of Reconciliation was available in many languages. Adoration was also available after holy mass on Saturday.

“I will definitely attend this event next year to strengthen my knowledge of the Eucharist.” Ibera said.

The theme for this years Congress was hope and the Bible verse that the Congress was based on was Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you.” Many keynote speakers referred back to this verse during their keynote talk.
