Christopher Burnette is a newly added member to Bishop Kenny high school family.
As a school counselor, Burnette works with students to prepare for their near future and addresses any concerns they may have about their education. First, he meets with seniors to prepare them for college life, then meets with the rest of the grades.
Burnette was not always a school counselor. He first started as a teacher before realizing he wanted to take on the profession.
“I like working with high school students because they are at an age of maturity,” Burnette says.
He realized he wanted to be more involved in the students’ lives and ultimately, help them reach their goals. Burnette is so excited for the school year and can not wait to connect with his new students.
