FNL Kickoff

First football game honors Marcus Clark

The first football game of the 2023-2024 season took place August 18, 2023. Varsity football went head to head with Clay County High School and defeated them with a score of 35-14.

The game’s orange theme was in honor of Bishop Kenny student Marcus Clark, who passed away last November.

Giovanna is the Features and Sports Section Editor for The Shield newspaper. She is involved in many activities around campus, including Varsity Brain Brawl, Theatre, Sailing Team, Student Ambassadors, as well as various clubs and honors societies. She is also the reigning Miss Bishop Kenny 2024! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, reading, volunteering, and traveling.

Emily Wheldon is the Senior Web Manager for The Shield newspaper. She is a part of the English Honors Society, Bishop Kenny cross-country and track team. Outside of school and running, she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, watching television shows and traveling.
