Crusaders wear out the Warriors at homecoming game

Students and alumni gathered to celebrate the annual homecoming game on September 22. Crusaders won against West Nassau 51 to 14.

The football game’s theme was superhero, showing how students and alumni are “superheroes.”

Kolbe Sexton and Sophie Cratem also won the BK Homecoming Court, an event in which two seniors are crowned as king and queen.

William Wainwright, Business Manager-HR

William Wainwright is the Staff Relations (HR) Manager for The Shield. Having command leadership qualities, he navigates all staff members and adapts to each individual staffers' needs. He is part of the National Honors Society, Rho Kappa Honors Society, BKHS Student Ambassadors, National English Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, as well as clubs such as Interact, Spanish Club and History Club. When he is not at school, he can be found at the beach, traveling, playing pickleball, or finding ways to be creative, such as cooking, listening to music or creating art.

Leah Fullerton, Writing Coach

Leah Fullerton is the senior Writing Coach for The Shield. At school, she is a dedicated student involved in various clubs who favors environmental science and psychology. At home, she busies herself with reading, biking, calling her friends and performing aerial silks.
