The Bishop Kenny Competitive Cheerleaders competed at Ponte Vedra High School in the Shark Tank Showdown on Saturday, Jan. 13. They were entered in two divisions, in which they won first place in Varsity Non-tumbling Small and second place in Varsity Non-tumbling Gameday.
The cheerleaders “hit zero” for both performances, meaning there were no deductions taken off their scores. Their routines, which consisted of a variety of stunts, pyramids, chants and signs, scored higher than other competing teams allowing them take away a win.
The cheerleaders even received a special award for ‘Best Pyramid’ out of all teams competing.
They will compete at West Nassau the following week and will soon compete at FHSAA State Competition. Go Bishop Kenny Cheer!
