With spring coming next month, and warmer temperatures ahead, going to watch the sunset is the perfect outdoor activity. See below for the best places to catch the last light of the day.
Riverfront Park in San Marco

One of the most popular sunset spots in Jacksonville is the Riverfront Park on River Road. Many people are seen with lawn chairs, fishing poles and blankets along the block. It overlooks the Saint Johns river with clear views of the Fuller-Warren bridge, downtown skyline and Riverside. Parking is available, but tends to get full 30 minutes before the sun sets.
Cradle Creek Preserve Jax beach
For a quiet spot in the bustling area of Jax Beach, Cradle Creek Preserve offers a peaceful experience. The park has views of the marshlands and waterways, making it an ideal spot to see the sunset. There is also a small parking lot located by the Preserve.
Inwood Park

Compared to other populated sunset locations, Inwood is a local “hidden gem”. At the end of Inwood road, the spot is most popular among teens and couples. Along with the view of the St. John’s River, there are murals on the side of the walls and two benches. Due to the park being very small, and in a residential area, parking is very limited.
Beach Access

While the sun does not set on the Atlantic coast, the skies still give pretty hues. Going for a walk on the sandy beach with a beautiful view is the perfect way to end the day. Some public beach access have parking, although it tends to be limited.
