Performing arts department hosts annual Coffee House event

Senior Vanessa Dimitrov performed (piano/voice) River by Joni Mitchell. (Madison Bolen) “I really enjoyed getting to share my love for music with others. It was such a great experience,” Dimitrov said.
Junior Hannah Riederer performed (piano/voice) New York State of Mind by Billy Joel. “I love Billy Joel and he is my favorite artist and I listen to him a lot with my parents,” Riederer said. (Madison Bolen)
Seniors Siena Bakkar (voice) and Elizabeth Nguyen (piano/voice) performed I Won’t Say I’m in Love by Alan Menken. (Madison Bolen)
Seniors Victoria Anderson (voice) and Cheska Pore (guitar) performed Dear Soulmate by Laufey. Anderson filled in for Marianna Hernandez; nevertheless the performance was beautiful. (Madison Bolen)
Senior Karla Flores (voice) performed Nothing You Can Take From Me by Dave Cobb alongside seniors Sophia Carman (voice) and Sophia Nunez (guitar). “I have been doing music for a while like singing and trying different instruments for a couple weeks, but I love singing so I stuck with it,” Flores said. Madison Bolen is co Editor-in-Chief of The Shield. She is involved in many different clubs, such as St. Vincent de Paul, Interact Club and Spanish Club. She is also the captain of the varsity tennis team, and loves to compete against her friends. Outside of school, Madison loves to play different sports, go to the beach and have fun with friends.
