High school backpack trends change and evolve each year, as students change up their preference in style and comfort. This year, many students are selecting backpacks that are practical, useful, and fashionable.
At Bishop Kenny, it’s tradition for seniors to wear backpacks typically made for children, with designs and themes such as unicorns, cartoon characters, animals, and colorful patterns. This trend represents their journey and how far they’ve come since they were little kids, and brings back a comforting and nostalgic feeling.
Because the rest of the student body isn’t able to participate in the “senior backpack” trend until twelfth grade, they are able to carry any backpack they prefer. Mini-sized backpacks have recently been making more of an appearance, especially because books and assignments are now digital. The most favored backpack brands amongst underclass men so far have been The North Face and Lululemon, most likely for their comfort and clean, simplistic design. However, some students decide to stand out and opt for bright and abstract backpacks containing fun patterns and graphics.
In closing, this year’s backpack trends include something for everyone, whether you prefer basic designs, bold colors, or nostalgic themes, students can easily find a backpack that they can wear comfortably and with confidence.
