Customers of AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Cricket Wireless have recently been facing issues with their cellular service. These peoples phones were stuck in SOS mode and they were unable to use their devices due to this disruption. Some believe this is a US wide cellular outage and have voiced their concerns on X, previously known as Twitter.
AT&T was affected first then T-Mobile, Verizon and Cricket followed. The outage had a peak at around 4am for AT&T customers.
iPhones go into SOS mode when there is no cellular service. Customers may still make phone calls and texts on SOS if their phone is the model 13 and up for the iPhone.
Police officers have even commented on it, because certain users with different iPhone models were unable to make calls to 911 and get a hold of emergency services.
