The Jacksonville Jaguars played their last game of the season versus the Tennessee Titans in the Titans’ home stadium on Sunday, January 8th.
With Trevor Lawrence back from a shoulder injury, the hopes were looking up for the Jags to pull out this game against the Titans.
The first points of the game were scored by the Jags with a field goal about ten minutes into the first quarter. But just a couple minutes later, the Titans scored a touchdown, making the score 7-3 Titans.
During the second quarter, the Titans scored two consecutive touchdowns, which slowed down the momentum of the Jags. Even though the Jaguars scored another touchdown in the fourth quarter, it was not enough to come back and beat the Titans, who won with the score 20-28.
If the Jags would have won against the Titans, then they would have had a chance to make it to the playoffs through a wildcard.
The Jags ended the season with a 9-8 record and second in AFC South.
