A pumpkin designing contest is being held on the cafeteria stage this week as a fundraiser for the Interact Club.
Thirteen teachers carved or decorated pumpkins to display and students can pay one dollar through Venmo or cash to cast a vote for their favorite pumpkin.
There is also a raffle for two prizes which include candy, stuffed animals and Lego sets.
The winner of last year’s contest was math teacher Tristan Dooley. This year, his pumpkin has a carving of “Pi” on the face of the pumpkin. No pun intended: “Pumpkin Pi.”
English teacher Grace Isaac is competing in the contest for the first time. Isaac’s pumpkin is covered in reflective mirrors and is carved with a smile on the front. It is a reference to “mirrorball” and has a shining light reflecting off of it.
The contest ends on October 27 and winners will be announced via Canvas when voting is closed.
