November 2 is All Souls Day, which is a day dedicated to praying for the souls of those who have passed away. To remember deceased souls in the Bishop Kenny community, students and faculty can email Mrs. Cabrey with the names of those who have gone before us.
The names of the departed will be written in the remembrance book which is located in the Chapel. During the whole month of November, every time Mass is celebrated and the daily rosary is prayed, these souls will be remembered.
Father Peter Dittus, our Priest-Chaplain, said that including the names of deceased people in the intention for which the Mass is offered is “the most efficacious to help the souls.”
He added that having the Mass said for passed loved ones “can quicken that purification of the soul.”
