Bishop Kenny’s annual Club Fair took place last Friday on Aug. 25, 2023 in the Carla Harris Center.
The Club Fair, run by Activities Coordinator Mary Ritter, displayed posters for various extracurricular activities that Bishop Kenny provides, such as Interact Club, Anchor Club, FCCLA and more.
This event allowed students to get to know their school better, by taking the time to understand what Bishop Kenny offers and why it’s important to get involved sooner rather than later.
Junior Megan Porkert shares her thoughts on how the fair provides her the chance to stand out among the crowd and further succeed outside of her academic life.
“The Club Fair is important to me because it shows me how many different options are available at the school to grow more in my interests and learn leadership skills through these clubs,” Porkert said.
Aside from the surface-level description, the Club Fair broadens our perspective on what being a well-rounded student entails and enlightens us with other benefits we can obtain through getting involved with the school.
“The benefits of joining clubs includes getting service hours and making friends that are interested in the same things as you,” Porkert said.
The Club Fair encourages students to start acting with intention and to participate in school-related events that will impact their future greatly.
