The thirty-first annual Miss Bishop Kenny Pageant was held in the Carla Harris Performing Arts Center from 7-9 pm last Friday, April 21.

In this pageant, 10 qualified ladies competed for the title of Miss BK. These 10 ladies were Giovanna Feitoza, Aleah Grayce Gibbs, Emilia Hernandez, Mackenna Huggins, Emma Lawrence, Maya Price, Ava Smith, Mary Smith, Melanie Staples and Mary Clare Stinneford.

The judging consisted of an off-stage interview which counted for 30% of their total score, their talent of choice which counted for 25% of their total score, formal wear which counted for 30% of their total score and a pre-recorded interview to the question that counted for 15% percent of their total score. The question was: What moment in your life would you pick to change the lives of others?

This year’s judges were Regina Brown, an elementary school teacher from St. Paul’s Catholic School, Kim Tanalgo Connelly, a marketing and business strategist and Trena Dinsmore, a teacher from San Jose Catholic School.

After the pageant was done, Annabel Macchi, Lily Smith, Emily Malzahn and Sofia Lopez handed out the trophies for the individual awards and the second runner up, the first runner up and Miss BK.

Most Sales: Maya Price

Scholastic Award: Mary Clare Stinneford

Most Talented: Aleah Grayce Gibb

Top Interview: Giovanna Feitoza

1st Runner Up: Aleah Grayce Gibbs
