Girls varsity wins Regionals Quarterfinals

On Thursday, Feb. 9, the Bishop Kenny girls’ varsity basketball team took on West Florida in the FHSAA Regionals Quarterfinals.
Sophomore Reese Mayer put the first points on the board, with the girls taking over the game from there. At the end of the first quarter the Crusaders were leading, 46-16.
The girls came back even stronger for the second quarter, defending their lead through many three pointers. The Crusaders left the court with over a thirty point lead, 59-24.
The fourth quarter saw more points for Bishop Kenny, many due to free throws from Junior Sydney Roundtree. At the end of the night the girls walked away with a huge win of 66-28.
