Britney’s ‘Toxic’ Conservatorship Ends
Britney Spears is released from her conservatorship with Jamie Spears
October 1, 2021
Britney Spears was a late 1900s and 2000s pop icon. She has an impressive record of six albums and four singles reaching the number one spot on the billboard charts. Her singing and songwriting has accredited her the “Princess of Pop” title.
At such a young age Spears had the world’s eyes on her. So, when her marriage to Kevin Federline discontinued and she lost the custody of her two children, the paparazzi allowed her limited privacy. Her ‘overexploited’ divorce is said to have caused her 2007 and 2008 downward spiral where she enveloped herself in the party scene, shaved off her hair, and attacked a paparazzi with an umbrella. Britney’s father took the role as her conservator to help Britney after hospitalization and rehab.
What many didn’t know about the conservatorship was Britney’s denied ability “to get married or have a baby.”
She further explains that she was put on “medication, which I never wanted to be on to begin with… Anything that happened to me had to be approved by my dad.”
After 13 years of being forced to work against her will, she is finally free. Judge Brenda Penny dissolved the conservatorship that was attached to Jamie Spears and passed the role onto a carefully chosen, John Zabel.
Immediately after regaining her social media platforms and full rights back, the 39 year old took on Instagram with a video of her flying a plane and the release of the movie ‘Britney vs Spears’ where Britney exposes her conservators from the past 13 years of her life.
