In 2002, Steve Burns abruptly left Blue’s Clues and left fans wondering why. He finally spoke about it this past week. Burns posted an already viral video explaining why he left the show. While speaking on the topic, he provoked the emotions of many viewers by reminiscing on the show from almost two decades ago. 

He acknowledges his abrupt leave and explains that he left the show to go to college. Although it was challenging for him and heartbreaking for many of his fans, he was able to do many of the things he wanted to do without the hassle of being a major entertainer on a children’s television show. 

He carries on with the video by thanking all of his supporters and claiming that he could not have achieved so much without their help. Their support helped him many years ago and still continue to help him today. 

He ends the video with a heartwarming message.

“I guess I just wanted to say that after all these years, I never forgot you. Ever. And I’m super glad we’re still friends. You look great by the way. Whatever it is you’re doing, is working,” he said.

After all these years, he has finally broken his silence and given his fans the closure they had been waiting for.
