Welcome Inductees
Need-to-know information about Induction Ceremony
March 12, 2020
The Honor Society Induction Ceremony entailed 11 societies that have various requirements to get in. This year members that have achieved the highest standards for their classes got inducted on Mar. 9. The standards include an above average grade standard and high gpa’s. Each member walks across the stage and take their societies oath while possibly getting a certificate and/or pin.
The ceremony started with the Master of Ceremonies Mary DeSalvo introducing senior Angelo Yap to lead in the opening prayer. The order of honor society induction went as follows: Art, Quill & Scroll, Thespians, Tri-M, Spanish, Latin, German, Rho Kappa, Science, Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society.
There is a new honor society for math called Mu Alpha Theta. This year the National Honor Society only allowed Juniors to be inducted and they raised their gpa requirement to 4.0.
