Remember when TikTok was banned back in January?
Well, a new ban is catapulting towards society with the date April 5 stamped all over it. As it stands, if the China-based parent company does not sell, the app will be banned in the United States.
In January, ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, was adamant on not selling to an American company.
“As of today, it looks like they are softening their stance, though they have not committed to anything containing information about selling the company,” Fox5 states.
President Donald Trump stated that a deal could be in the works, but no official deal has been made, leaving millions of American users trapped in confusion.
“He also mentioned that the April 5th deadline could be extended if they needed more time to strike a deal,” Fox5 states.
At the moment, many companies are interested in buying TikTok. These companies include large businesses such as Microsoft and Perplexity AI.
Watch your videos while you still can, because they could be gone in just a couple of days.
