The varsity girls golf team took on district rival Stanton at its home course, Deer Creek Country Club, last Tuesday.
The girls beat Stanton by 30 points with the season’s lowest score of 171.
Three players shot their lowest rounds of the season. Junior Andrea Kurth shot a 59, junior Candace Aldridge shot a 42 and freshman Kathleen Crawley shot a 39. Crawley was the match medalist (top scorer).
From this match the team moved from fourth place to second in District 3 and its regional ranking went from twelfth to sixth.
