The Plan for the Plantation

History club to visit historic plantation

Emily Willis | Opinion Editor

The Bishop Kenny history club is planning to attend The Kingsley Plantation, the longest standing plantation in Florida, on Saturday, February 17.

Having been established just this school year, this is the new club’s first off-campus visit to a historic sight. They will be taking a tour of the house, as well as viewing live chats and participating in crafts.

“We will explore the slave quarters and I’ll show you a few secrets not normally talked about,” club sponsor Lauren Mosley said.
