Are you looking for an amazing dessert bar? A new coffee shop? A killer milkshake? If so, read on to learn about these new places coming to Jacksonville and to be the first one in line on opening day.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, it was rare to see new restaurants opening in Jacksonville. But 2022 is going to change the trend— check out some of the new food places that will be opening soon.
Dreamette (San Marco)— This cozy ice cream shop will be a perfect way to end your day! Serving soft serve, shakes, dipped cones, sundaes and even vegan ice cream, Dreamette will always satisfy your sweet tooth.
Light on the Sugar Café (Town Center)— This family-owned bakery and coffee shop will be a great spot for getting work done or just for a treat on a simple summer day. Their menu rotates weekly and many of their pastries are baked with Asian inspired flavors such as Ube, Matcha and Taro.
Cielo Azul Cocina Mexicana (The Avenues Mall)— Because Ruby Tuesday closed, this Mexican restaurant is going to take its place. It will serve the common Mexican cuisine: tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, chimichangas and more.
The Yard Milkshake Bar (Town Center)— As seen on SharkTank, this store offers ice cream and over-the-top milkshakes. One of their specialties is a milkshake made with Lucky Charms Cereal Milk ice cream and caramel rolled in sprinkles, with Lucky Charm marshmallows, rainbow whipped cream, gold sprinkles, a sour rainbow strip, a scoop of Pot-of-Gold cookie dough and marshmallows on top.
Grumpy’s Restaurant (Neptune Beach)— This is a full-service American & Southern style diner that serves breakfast, lunch and brunch daily. It offers an array of daily chalk board specials, sandwiches, homemade soups, salads, fresh squeezed juices, signature coffee, hot chocolate and desserts.
Make sure to look out for each of these restaurants as they open in summer and fall 2022!
