On ‘Silent Night’, the onesies, unicorn costume and off-putting ‘Fat Heads’ were not enough to intimidate the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles.

“We played hard,” senior forward Nick Ryno said. “It just wasn’t going our way.”

The score was close at halftime with Episcopal holding a slim 17-15 advantage over the Crusaders, but missed shots ended up costing Bishop Kenny in the second half.

“It just came down to our inability to score offensively inside or outside,” Bishop Kenny Head Coach Jerry Buckley said when asked about his team’s performance down the stretch. “We had some good looks, especially late, we just didn’t knock them down.”

Episcopal School of Jacksonville improves to 14-9 while Bishop Kenny falls to 11-11 for the season. The Crusaders will host Impact Christian Academy on Tuesday, February 5th at 7 pm in the John Baldwin Center.
